My First Voice

Every blog starts with the first blog post.

Every blogger has to write their very first entry.

Well, this is my first post for this blog. But this is not my first time to do blogging. I wrote in the past, I had a personal blog. But it has been years since I last tried. And here I am, my fingers dancing against the keyboard, a lot of pauses, a lot of backspace strokes while my mind is thinking about what to write.

I've been contemplating a lot about what to put into my 'reviving blogging' first post. This contemplation compelled me to do research which led me to a handful of ideas out there. But what  sticks out really is to write this kind of 'hello, welcome' post - so you my readers would know that you've landed to where this all started.

WHO AM I?
I am a mom. A wife. An IT professional. A Filipina who is now currently living in Canada. I juggle family life and all the responsibilities that come with it with my full time job while still reaching that ideal work-life balance. Sounds tough, yeah? But there's always some fun and satisfaction somewhere along that chaotic life.

WHY AM I HERE?
I stopped writing when I gave birth. I wanted to go back to writing but I just couldn't find the time to do it. When I do have a free moment, it seems as though I'm always getting sucked into Facebook or Youtube or Instagram or TV shows. Those are just great time-sucker. It's like "Hey, where did the last few hours go?" I'm sure we can all relate to that feeling.

So why am I finding myself here again? Every time I read inspirational articles or posts from writers and bloggers out there, it fuels my unrelenting determination to give voice to my innermost thoughts. I love sharing thoughts and inspiring people. There are times that the amount of ideas, how-to’s and inspirations whirling around in my head is just ready to jump out. The positivity that's in me grow when I write - I am happier and a better person.

WHAT IS MY VOICE?
I am not expert on anything. I am not about perfection. But I am up to unclogging my mind from years of destructive thoughts - this will be my platform to find purpose, healing, and creating the life I desire while inspiring others. I will tackle the nitty-gritty life of a working and sometimes challenged mom. I hope to share practical tips in cooking, raising a kid, handling two full time jobs while being sane (not all the time), de-cluttering, moving beyond fears and everything that's in between.

I am looking forward to an amazing yet intimidating experience of writing again. Whenever I seek clarity or crave solace, I will grab a pen, open this and prepare to just let it out!
