Two days for a weekend seems not enough. Before I knew it I was up again for my usual four am routine of boarding a jeep going to a bus terminal that will transport me back to city life and back to the reality. I was on board a jeep pondering thoughts of how quiet and laid back life is in the province - fresh air, green surroundings, less noise, less people, and most of all no rush hour! Such tranquility will drive people like me into deep thoughts.  While doing my silent 'wanderings', I saw onboard a physically well-built man. He was fighting back the to urge to sleep although he was drowsing. By the look on his face, he is probably close to forties but I suppose he is a bit younger than my estimates. His eyes mirror something like grimness, his face shows some wrinkles and I guess, it may be because of all the physical hardships he'd endure in life. 365 Days of Thankfulness: Look Harder

A  skill we need to learn and manage is to be able to see the positive things in each day even when on certain days we just have to look harder  - Francis Kong I know that the goodness  of God is coming after me and He’s showing it not just one time but over and over and over and over again. He is showing it me when He gave me another morning to live, to breath, to enjoy life. It is hard to be always thankful when you are going with the mundane tasks of everyday, we tend to ignore small things and so we need to look harder. The challenge in me is to find time to do journal. So in between tasks, while cooking or washing the dishes or driving, I think about the things I need to be grateful for the day then I typed it out in the Notes app in my phone. So for this week, I’ve got this list so far. Yes so far, because I know  should have written more. Not a Perfect Mom, But Who Cares?

In my pre-baby life I had it together. I get to wake up a little late and still have all the time in the world to sip my morning coffee without rushing. I enjoyed my shower and still have time to put on some makeup and carefully choose clothes from my closet that would make me look somewhat stylish (to my taste). I had the luxury of time to ironed my clothes. I jogged, played badminton or sometime spent time away in a Starbucks cafe chatting with friends. Then I became a mom. My priorities shifted. Suddenly none of these things mattered (which I am glad because I really don't have the time for those things anymore). I eventually hit my stride as a mother and managed my new 'mom' life bringing on with me some of the important aspects from my former life. My everyday is now a never ending cycle that goes something like this: 1. Wake up (before anyone does) 2. Prepare breakfast, pack lunch, prepare my kid 3.
